Box Of Soda Keeps The Refrigerator?

Keeping the refrigerators freezer smelling fresh and clean is simple and easy to do. All it takes is a cleaning solution made of baking soda and warm water to wipe down the interior of the freezer. If residue is left, wipe it away with a clean damp cloth. The freezer will be left smelling fresh and clean. Also, throw away all items that have perished. Containers in the freezer can be wiped down with the solution to remove any odor. Remember to place a fresh open box of baking soda in the freezer to keep it odor free until the next cleaning.

What will happen if electricity turned off for two weeks?

The effects of not having electricity for a few weeks depends largely on the weather. In a humid climate during the rainy season, you may find that the drywall becomes damp and, later, mold may develop. When the air conditioner comes back on, it may take awhile to dry out the home and to get the walls cool again. In a dry winter, your ceiling and other weight bearing walls may develop cracks as the wood contracts. Also, you should winterize and drain your pipes so they do not freeze and burst. Your appliances should be fine; however, if the lack of electricity causes your freezer foods to defrost without any ice crystals, you should empty and clean out the freezer and refrigerator. Wash them out and block the doors so they stay open.

How to clean a commercial freezer?

Anyone who has run a restaurant knows that one of the most important aspects of running a restaurant is keeping the freezer clean. Not only is an unclean freezer a potential health hazard for the restaurant’s customers, but an unclean freezer can also increase food costs and decrease profits if it is a harborage for mold and other organisms that may damage the stored food. The first step in cleaning a commercial freezer is to turn the unit off so that there is not a danger of electrical shock while the freezer is being cleaned. The next step is to lay a cloth, old newspapers, or other covering at the bottom of the freezer and underneath the freezer in order to absorb any excess water that will fall from the freezer as ice and frost melts. All food items must then be taken out of the freezer and stored in another temperature-controlled environment. Once all items have been taken out of the freezer, any trays, shelves, or other removable components must then be taken out of the freezer and washed. Once all removable components have been removed from the freezer, the freezer should be allowed to completely defrost. The freezer walls and floors can then be cleaned with hot water and a cleaner that is safe for use on food contact surfaces. The freezer walls and floors should not be cleaned until all ice and frost has been removed from the freezer. Once the freezer has been cleaned, a dry rag should be used to remove all traces of water from the walls and floor of the freezer. It is extremely important to remove any excess water, since any moisture that remains in the freezer will turn to ice when the temperature of the freezer is brought back down below the freezing point. Once the freezer floor and walls have been dried, any removable components taken out of the freezer can then be placed back in the freezer. The freezer should then be turned back on, and the ambient temperature of the freezer should be allowed to return to the temperature specification that is required by the user. Food items can then be returned back to the freezer.
