A:The explanation depends very much on whether you believe the Book of Revelation is correct in that claim. If so, you should also explain why a loving God would cause the overwhelming bulk of Christians to receive a lesser reward. If you do not believe Revelation to be correct, you could choose to explain that the book is, after all, only the work of a man, known from his signature as John of Patmos but otherwise unknown.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that only 144,000 Witnesses will enter heaven. For them, the majority of Witnesses and many righteous people who do not share their faith will be granted eternal life on earth.

Another Answer:

Scripturally, it never says they go to heaven as another Scripture in John 3:13 fully explains only Jesus who came from heaven returns. Heaven will come to Earth and God will tabernacle with men (Revelation 21).

So who are these 144,000. In Revelation 7, verse 1-9, these are drawn from the tribes of Israel (a close read will show that Dan is missing - another question). These are 'sealed' (cannot receive the mark of the Beast) before the Day of the Lord - a 1 year long period after the Tribulation administering the final 7 vials of God's wrath. They will die martyrs, saving their eternal lives.

Yet, John is also describing a 2nd group (verse 14) of indefinite number coming out of every nation and people coming out of the Tribulation (Satan's wrath of 2 1/2 years). He is allowed to see even farther into the future where this great multitude is celebrating a victory before the throne of God - on Earth and not in Heaven (Revelation 21). These peoples died as martyrs during this hellish time, representing the completion of the martyrdom foretold in Revelation 6:11. They are actually victors as they found their salvation and will be resurrected to glory.

All this occurs during the 7th Seal as Isaiah prophecized in 34:8; 61:2 leading up to Christ's 2nd coming. This vision goes into the Millennial Rule, the Great White Throne Judgement and the introduction of new heavens and earth as in 2 Peter 3:10-13. This is the great harvest of God where the billions are brought into the God Family - equally. But the 144,000 represent a 'firstfruits' of those redeemed to their Creator. This number is 12x12x1000 which is the number of organized beginnings squared and multiplied by a thousandfold. It represents the starting point of the Creator's harvest of the nations after He has begun His direct intervention in judgment.

An understanding of God's Holy Days will shed much light upon all prophecy.

Was John of Patmos blind when He was writing the Book Of Revelation?

Even if only allegorically, John speaks of the things he 'sees' in heaven, as if being able to see was normal and usual for him. There is no suggestion anywhere in the Book of Revelation that John of Patmos was blind.

Is a paradise really going to come soon?

Yes it is. Armageddon is going to come and kill all the bad people on the earth and the 144000 that have been picked will go up in heaven, but the rest will stay down on a beautiful paradise earth. We don't know when its going to come but we can tell by all the bad people and things that are on the earth right now that it will happen very soon, all of this is prophesied in the Bible.

If only 144000 celibate men will go to heaven Where do the women go Revelation 14 v 1 to 4?

The Bible is not say that only 144000 celibate men will go to heaven Revelation 14 v 1 to 4 to those men like Paul who rather than marry chose to serve God and do the work by spreading the Word exactly as Jesus taught it Some even before God came in the flesh as Jesus were enunch like Daniel and severved God and God only The women whether they are celibate or not which have repented and been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receive the Holy Spirit which guides them and do His will will be received in heaven also See Acts 2 v 1 to 39 In the universal language of mind, the 144,000 refers to different parts of ourselves that must be understood in order to graduate from this physical existence. How did Jesus describe heaven?

He says: "No one has ever gone into heaven except the One who came from heaven - the Son of Man." (John 3:13 NIV)Answer:He has quite a bit to say about heaven and His (and our) Father in heaven. Try using an exhaustive concordance some time (or software with a searchable Bible, or even an online searchable Bible) to search "kingdom of heaven", as this is one of the main ways Christ referred to heaven. He used a lot of allegories or parables to teach about heaven. Large parts of Revelation also contain Christ's descriptions of heaven, as given to the apostle John (Rev 1:1: "The revelation of Jesus Christ..." Rev 22:16: "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things..."). The passages in Revelation that might interest you are:(Revelation) 4:1-1119:1-1021:1-2722:1-5, 14,15

What is the name of the angel that bound Satan in the bottomless pit?

Does the pope go to heaven?

Everyone is judged by Our Blessed Lord at the moment of death. No one can know if someone is in heaven or is going to heaven short of divine revelation. There are some popes in heaven, we know because they are canonized (declared saints) which means that they are in heaven. Those that are not canonized, we cannot know.
