The piece behind the oil filter is an oil cooler I believe. My 92 prelude had the same problem. There is a O ring behind the oil cooler. To remove the oil cooler, first remove the oil filter. Now follow the threads back on where the oil filter screws on, there should be a large bolt. The bolt on mine was pretty tough and required a large socket. I think I rented one from autozone, there are normally for removing drive axle bolts, don't remember the size though. Once the oil cooler is removed - replace the o-ring. There should be some lines that attach to the oil cooler that allow antifreeze to go through, but I don't remember if those had to be removed or not, it was about 8 years ago that I did this.
Just ask for wiper nozzle for prelude it has its own lock that usually breaks when its brittle due to heat under the hood.
What year? For a 1996 Si, NGK ZFR5F-11 is what I use.
i would use 5w30 or a 10w 30 Vavoline conventional or max life
Would have been built for R12, can be converted to R134a.
Depends on which pulley but most have several bolts holding them on. You can remove the broken bolt or simply not worry about it.
You have to take the glove box right out, there is a filter housing behind it that is not visible with the glove box still in
How do you change a fuel filter in a 1997 Honda Prelude
Just behind the glove box. Check a prelude forum or a repair manual for detailed instructions.
Under the hood in the air filter housing. The cabin filter is behind the glove box.
How do i take the fuel filter off my honda prelude si 1989
The horn on a 1987 Honda Prelude is located behind the front bumper of the vehicle. It is mounted in front of the engine block.
Answer using '87 PreludeFor my 1987 Honda Prelude 2.0 Si (fuel inj), the oil filter is located in the center of the engine compartment, behind the engine, between the engine and the firewall. To access mine, I have to reach from under the car, or, I prefer, access it from above by removing my air filter housing, and reaching behind and underneath the intake manifold. I like to put a light down there before I reach in so I can see what's happening. I can actually see the filter from above, by peering down through the openings in my intake manifold. Above my oil filter, there is a sensor that I am careful not to hit when working near it. Sincerely, Z-dog
It's behind the glovebox. open the glovebox and remove the retaining clips that prevent it from opening all the way. You can then see the filter housing behind the glovebox.
you dont there's no filter trans flush only
Behind the timing belt cover
it is always going to be on the engine block
On a 1991 Honda Prelude 2.1SI, the Oil Sensor is located slightly above the Oil Filter.
