I have found the best solvent for removing dried oil based paint is CONTACT CEMENT CLEANER/REMOVER. As always, check first on an inconspicuous area to be sure the fabric will not be damaged by the solvent. Dab a small amount of solvent onto a clean WHITE rag and rub the spot. Do not use a coloured rag or some colour transfer could be possible.
== == I have used a product called Goof Off. One could probably purchase it at Home Depot. It is specifically used to remove water-based, latex paints off of fabric or other surfaces. I would test a small spot first to make sure it will not damage of discolor the surface. I have used this on fabric before with good results, but I make sure I wash the fabric thoroughly after the paint is removed. Ive found that Uh-Oh Paint Splatter & Tough Stain Remover is very effective in removing both latex and oil based paint stains as well as TONS of other stains
The short answer is ' with great difficulty', but you've probably found that out already! This is because what works with one brand of paint may not work with another. See what is recommended as a solvent for that particular paint on the can and try that if the fabric will take it - test first. White Spirits or turps are another option. Dab it on to the stain after sponging with warm water and detergent. wash, and repeat if necessary. Hope this is helpful.
If the paint is on the cloth and the cloth is removeable (cusion cover) you could apply a small amount of Stoddards compound (Varsol) then wash to remove the smell. First try an unseen spot to see if it will be discoloured. If the paint is on the wood try gently rubbing with petroleum jelly. Do not use Stoddards compound as it will remove the finish on the wood.
Hello, Jamison here, I assume its dry? If so You will not get it out!,,,,,,,,,, Jamison.
you wash your clothes. xD wow you couldn't be more wrong with this answer it doesn't work and doyou honestly think people would be so stupid and not try that first???
It depends on the type of upholstery and the type of paint and how long it has been on. I'm surprised you have not mentioned any. -Write back with more useful detail not such vague queries.
You can use turpentine substitute or turps as we call it in the trade, a soft cloth & a lot of elbow grease.
No, the color in spray paint is not affected by bleach. A proprietory concrete cleaner or fine sand impregnated with solvent will reduce the appearance of the paint.
It beads up and doesn't dry. It you touch it it will wipe off. It may leave a faint stain, but it won't show up strongly. If you put wax on spray paint then it will make it hard to remove the spray paint and it will also make the spray paint look glossier.
It depends on the type of paint. Lacquer thinner will remove most oil based and latex paints from a paint sprayer, however, spray gun cleaner will remove it better.
You can't. Prime over it with a good primer.
Acrylic paint is water based, so water or soapy water should be used to clean a spray gun.
i have dried white latex paint on car seat. what do i do to remove it?

You can scratch it off but that's not the best way.

A can of Spray Brake Parts cleaner will work well but do not get it on the upholstery or carpet. Also spray electronic cleaner should work well to remove the sticky pop.
Supposedly it can actually be used to remove vandalism spray paint from your car without hurting the original car paint.
Get the can of spray paint and point it towards your hair then spray. You don't put spray paint in your hair!!! The poisons can kill you!!!
You can paint your car blinkers with spray paint. You can use any type of Marine spray paint. The spray paint should be water resistant.
