Sometimes it requires professional help.
Don't hesitate to seek it (therapy and, in rare cases, medication).
You will need some counseling. That is the best way to get over it in a healthy way. You need to relearn a lot of things that abuse damages.
Very important to seek counseling about this. You need to really be honest with yourself about why you allow people to "abuse" you. Alot of times it has to do with the fact that you are a very kind-hearted person and don't believe that there are people that can be so cruel. That was me. Don't change your heart. That is a gift. But you cannot let people run you over. Counseling was a great thing for me. Alot of abuse has to do with what happens in your childhood and how has an adult you believe you "deserve" what you are getting. Not true. Free counseling can come from a church and other community services. Do it!! Don't wait.
