how do you access zx14 battery
Like all Kawasaki Vulcan 750s, the alternator is located under the left engine cover and requires engine removal to access due to frame clearance issues. Modifications to solve this problem can be viewed at the related links below:

the battery compartment is located in the frame behind the motor and below the fuel tank you gain access through a panel on the right side of the frame
It should be under the seat if its like most bikes. - It's under the frame. There is an access panel on the right side of the bike, under the tank. Remove both seats, the entire tank cover and then the battery access panel. Now you can remove the battery (must unplug two cables to get it out).
It is underneath the gas tank, inside the frame on the side of the rear brakes, there IS a side door to access the battery, so do not take the tank off. Look at the fin fairing and follow it to the rear and you will find it.
It is underneath the seat just behind the fuel tank and forward the battery. There are two round openings in a piece of plastic. This piece is removed and the filter is below.
Remove the Phillips head screw at the rear of the seat. Next, remove one of the saddlebags by opening bag and turning the two cam screws , then lift bag up and out. This will give you access to the bolt securing the passengers seat strap. Once the strap is removed the seat can be removed giving access to the battery.
If what you are trying to do is charge the battery, then you must be hooked directly to the battery terminal with the positive lead and the negative can be grounded anywhere to the frame that you can get a good ground. If you have a difficult battery to access you can buy or make leads that come from the battery terminals to a convenient location to charge from. You can even buy a product called a Battery Tender that is a charger with removable leads included. If you are saying that you cannot get power from the battery w/o the key being "on", then welcome to everyone elses world as that is how they work.
The battery for the 2006 ZX-14 (I assume the same for all years) is not under the seat as it is on most bikes. It is actually on the right side of the bike just under the gas tank. You'll see a small 'hatch' where the tank meets the seat, remove that to access the battery. You do not have to remove the tank or the seat (I found out the hard way) batterys are normally under the seats
Unless you made your Runescape account before 2005 then you cannot access Runescape Classic
It is under the rear seat which you have to remove to access the battery.
