How do you open a car door with a broke latch I have removed the interior panel with the door closed. I can manually move the rods but the latch still seems to be stuck on something. What to do?

I have the same problem. I have had to take the inside off the door, and pull the metal rod back and forth quickly and hard to jerk the door open. Hope this helps

If you can manage to get the interior panel off (it is possible with the door closed) you will be able to actuate the release manually. I do not mean the handle. I am talking about the actual catch that holds the door shut. If nothing else call an automotive locksmith. He will not tell you that he has to cut a hole! But it will cost you upwards of $100.00.
