You have to pass all of them. Since 9th grade is a freshman in high school that means for the next four years each class you take you have to pass. When you pass the class you earn units towards your graduation and if you don't pass the class you have to makeup the class to graduate. Each high school class is 5 units and to graduate you need about 265 units earned in your 4 years. From your question I must assume that your plan is to do as little work as possible for your 9th grade year and it makes me think you played around in 8th grade.
