You cant really unless you want to turn down the video setting or resolution. The only other way is to upgrade your video card.
You cannot pause Fraps. The closest thing to it you can do is stop recording, then start a new session to 'un-pause' the recording.
They have fraps, but some of them use dxtory and have fraps as a backup.
