From what I can remember: 1. Pull off the rubber flap that covers the bulb. 2. A metal wire keeps the light bulb in place, you have to push it in a little and I think either pull it toward you or away. The wire will fling open if you do it correctly. 3. I believe the light bulb can be pulled directly out but twist it just a little to see if it turns. I hope I got it right. It's somewhere along those lines though. I have a 2002 SI as well and it took 3 of us to figure out how to replace the headlight bulb (then again, we were literally in the dark). I think once you see the metal wire that keeps the bulb in place, you'll be able to figure it out from there.

first you have to pull off the front bumper. (this is a must) then there are 2 10mm bolts one in front under the head lamp and one on the side of the head lamp. Then there is a screw and another bolt on top. then just pull it out.
