The Trojan horse worm/gen has no proprietary inventor. Rumours say Norton team invented it. It was most likely simply the result of a hacker's attempt to keep a port open, but not visible to anyone else.
At one time Free Gate was listed as a Trojan Horse threat by Norton Anti Virus. That accusation has since been dropped and Free Gate is considered safe.

To delete a Trojan, you should try to buy a good anit-virus program like Norton Antivirus, Windows Live Onecare, etc. Then, just run a scan. The scanner will ask if you want to delete the Trojan, and you should click accept. Done.
