Goof Off will dissolve it, and then you can scrape it off. You can buy a small can of it for less than $5 at a hardware store or homecenter. It's very handy stuff to have around the house. It removes glue, paint, ink, and so on.
Depends on the glue used, some need heat, some need soaking in water, some need a solvent.
You may need to use a syringe with methylated spirits and force into joints and tenons...this is particularly good for old hide glues made from horses/cows hoofs

You can sand it off usually.

Name the glue - 'all purpose glue' is far too vague.
Use wood glue for wood to wood, to glue a cabinet back together you need to remove the old glue so that you have a clean wood to wood contact if this can't be done you can use epoxy glue, go to your local hardware store ask for help and tell them what you are working on and they will help on the type of glue you need.

Pva wood glue
From what I know you have to resand them down?ANS 2 - if the cabinets were finished with polish, it may be possible to get it off with a razor blade or fine craft knife.Ans 3sharp corners on knives or razors can damage the surface of the cabinet, as will sanding. When repairing furniture or cabinets i remove as much glue as possible with a lightly dampened sponge. After the glue has dried I have a chisel on which I've rounded the corners, to keep from gouging the wood. This is good to carefully scrape off hardened glue while keeping surface damage to a minimum.
Soak it in water for about an hour then it will peel off.
Provided it is a water based glue, wipe it with damp cloth.
