Remove brake caliper, then caliper mounting. Now tap back of rotor to remove it. Detach tie rod end from knuckle, remove ABS sensor (this is very tricky, they stick) Remove control arm from knuckle, Now undo large nut holding hub and drive axle and pull hub off. Now remove the 3 bolts holding bearing assembly. Replace in reverse order.
-This job is quite tricky if you are not a very experienced mechanic - I would highly recommend getting the Haynes manual .
use a slide hammer to remove the hub from the bearing. do this on the car. or remove complete knuckle and press hub out with a press

My front wheel bearings just went in my 04 mountaineer, and we tried to replace them ourselves, but in order to get to the bearings you have to have the truck up on a lift, so unfortunately we had to send it to a mechanic.
