GM Heater Line Quick-Connect Release Tool this will do it. Otherwise you need to try and use a hacksaw to cut it off, though I wouldn't recommend it, might cut the line into the heater coil
The heater inlet hose is on the firewall. On the 2002 Silverado it is close to the bottom of the firewall on the passenger side.
That is called a quick disconnect fitting and it requires a SPECIAL tool to get it loose.
The 1997 VW heater hose has swivel nuts on each end of the hose. Turn the swivel nuts to the left to remove the heater hose.
There are two hoses for the 2006 Silverado heater core. Loosen the clamps where the hoses go into the firewall. Twist the hoses gently to break them loose. Slide the hoses off. Follow the hoses to the other end, and repeat the process.
It is the heater core hose.
# Disconnect the negative battery cable. # Drain the engine coolant. # Remove the instrument panel/dash assembly from the vehicle. # Remove the heater hose(s) and cap the hose(s). # Remove the attaching nuts and remove the heater unit assembly. # Remove the heater core attaching screw and remove the heater core..............
Cool the heater hose and then gently take it off
All you do is remove
check and make sure that the hose clamps are tight mine was leaking at the bottom of the hose replaced heater core for nothing
the heater core or heater core hose is leaking engine coolant
