On the sliding door side there should be 2 levers on the side of the bench seat at the bottom and one on the front. Pull the lever on the front to fold up the bottom part of the seat. Once the seat is folded up then you can pull the front lever on the side to move the seat. You may find that you have to stand in front of the seat and pull/push it from the middle. If the seat bottom is not locked in the upward position the seat will not move. **The key to sliding the rear seat, the seat and the back must both be vertical. Only then can you pull the slide lever (lower left of rear seat)and slide the seat up. The seat will then lock in a few positions along the track. Hope this helps!!

To remove your front doors you will first need to remove the four screws on the panel. Use your screwdriver to pry between the top of the door panel and the door to release the fasteners and then pull the panel off of the door.

You just pull upward on the front of the seat. The seat belt latches will slip down through the slots they are coming through in the seat bottom, then after you have them pushed through the slots just pull outward and the seat will come out. Putting it back in requires getting the seat belt latches back into and through the slots in the seat. The seat back is held in place by four bolts, two on each side and two that also hold the seat belt latches into the frame. There are slots at the top of the back so, after removing the bolts lift upwards until clear of those slots and remove. Putting it back is exactly the same in reverse.

How do you slide back seat of a 1997 mercury villager?

If your seat is in a track...there are three levers on the rear seat you need to be familar with. On the side of the seat closest to the slider on the passenger side of vehicle there is a loop type lever you pull to adjust the back of the seat. Under the bench of the seat is two more levers, these are what aide in moving the seat. There is on lever closer to the center of the bench than the other, it's rectangle shape. Pull this lever and the bench portion of the seat should want to fold up to the back of the seat. Next you pull the other lever that looks kinda like a finger, this allows you to move the whole seat along the track. Make sure you pull up you carpet mats before trying to move the seat. If you plan to move larger items and you only have two passengers...I suggest removing the two bucket seats in the middle row, then the back seat will fold up and move to the back of the front seats.

How do you replace an idler pulley on a 1995 Mercury Villager Where would the tension release bolt be located and where can you find a belt routing diagram on the internet without paying?

There is no spring loaded tensioners on the Mercury Villager. Look for manual adjustments, loosen the nut in the center of the adjustment idler's and then move the adjustment bolts toosen the belts for replacement. Since this vehicle does not have just one long serpentine belt the routing is fairly simple to figure out. If the belts are still on the vehicle you can draw a quick sketch of the routing to help when re-installing the belts.
