You carefully pry it off. If it doesn't come loose easily from one pry point, move around the edge of the cover and try other places.
also you have to be careful as to not try to pry the plastic covering because you can break it. use a flat head screw driver and pry it off.
ANSWER: THERE is a small slit on the dome cover toword the passenger side insert a small flat head screwdriver and pop off.{just did mine}
If it's one that you push the light cover to turn on, this is how you change it:
On the side of the cover that presses up, slide in a thin screwdriver--and I do mean thin because the cover hinges can break. There is a small clip that will release and the cover will pop out.
Hey Sid==I think on yours, only the bulb needs changing. Just remove the light assy and change the bulbs in the rear. There are mounting screws to remove and don't unscrew the adjusting screws. Goodluck, Joe
This is a sealed beam unit. The bulb alone cannot be replaced. The entire headlight assembly needed to be replaced. First remove the screws holding the turn signal assembly, and then replace remaining screws holding the headlight. It is a bit tricky, but doable.
Just replaced both bulbs on my 98 Toyota Sienna XL. First carefully remove plug into the back of the bulb to be replaced. Do not pull the plug out by tugging on the wires, make sure you grab the plug itself. Next, remove the rubber boot protecting the back of the headlamp. You will find a metal clip clamping in the bulb. The clip is designed to be easily released. Remove the bulb and put in the replacement, without touching the glass.
I purchased my Sienna in January of 1998. Could there have been a mid-year model change that makes your van different than mine?
In my case, you go to the dealer. $265 to replace the lamps. The dash has to be removed to get to the lamps. Had them all replaced to avoid having to do this again. Car has about $90K miles on it.
The headlight bulbs are covered with rubber caps with electrical wire. Take a Philips head screwdriver and remove two screws than carefully wiggle out the light bulb.
I suggest to LOOSEN the screws.. No need to remove. After loosening the two screws, turn the lamp slightly and it will come out easily.
The two map reading lights next to the trip computer are bulb type 194. There is a hole for a small phillips head screw at the front end of the plastic bezel, very near the edge of the rear view mirror.
Remove the screw, set it aside, then grasp the bezel with your fingertips at the back left and right sides, closest to the map lights themselves. Pull firmly but carefully straight down; the two spring clips holding the entire bezel will come free. The bezel unit will hang by the wiring harness.
Turn the bezel over to look at the back side. You will notice the bulbs, and between them, a clip connector that supplies the bulbs with power. If you are worried about shorting your replacement bulbs or simply cautious, use a flathead screwdriver to lift the catch on the connector clip and pull it free. The bulbs will go out.
The bulbs themselves are mounted in plastic clip connectors within the reflectors. With a very small flathead screwdriver, press inward, toward the bulb, from each side, and free the connector from the reflector. Carefully remove and replace the bulbs. Make certain that your replacements fit in the hole in the bottom of the reflector, and snap the connector back in place. Re-connect the clip connector which supplies the bulb with power. Test for function by clicking the lens/switch, and by closing/opening the driver door.
Replace the bezel and screw, by first aligning the two spring tabs, and popping the bezel back in place. Tightening the screw will snug the bezel to the headliner, and you should be done.
You'll need a flathead screwdriver to pry it open from the opposite end of the switch

Hey Lee==there are screws on the inside of the door.Be careful as there are a lot of sharp edges there. GoodluckJoe
Try combinations of Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna and a touch of black. If too yellow, add more Burnt Sienna. Be careful with the amount of black so that it does not turn green. Experiment with these three and I think you can get it. Mae Daze
"How do you replace a factory antenna on a 2002 Toyota Sienna?" I am talking about the whole assembly. Thanks
Open the hood, remove the rubber boot, unplug the wire connector, unclasp, remove the burned bulb and replace with the new one.
Remove engine and transaxle assembly
I assume that it will be like a 1998 Sienna van. There is a sealed bearing in the hub assembly and you change the whole assembly. There are four bolts that hold the hub assembly to the suspension.
