Now to install: 1. Clean the CMP sensor surface and ensure that the O-Ring is in place. 2. Position the CMP sensor into the engine and tighten the retaining bolt to 71-106 inch lbs. 3. Attach the CMP sensor connector 4.Connect the negative battery cable.
The camshaft position sensor for a Mercury Mystique is located on top of the motor. It is bolted in the same place where older versions of the engine had a distributor.
The camshaft position sensor is on the front of the engine block. It is on the right front about half way up.
Replace the crankshaft and camshaft senors and then clear the codes with an oBD II engine scanner and that will fix it.
what year, and which engine? Note: if it is newer year, there are two 3.0 liter engines, a 24 valve and a 12 valve. 2000 3.0 liter engine 24 valve
the camshaft position sensor is on the left side of the engine , at back on the upper side . you have to demont the conector , than unscrew and replace it
The camshaft position sensor is located near the thermostat housing. You should replace the crankshaft position sensor as well. This one is much harder to locate....it is on the backside of the engine that is between the firewall and the engine block. Both use the same sensor.
It is located on the backside of the engine. Go to youtube and type in how to replace camshaft sensor on 2005 Nissan altima and it will show where it is and how to replace it, that is how I did my one.

The camshaft position sensor on a 4.3L engine would be in the distributor.
The camshaft position sensor is located in the engine compartment of the 2002 Daewoo Leganza. It is at the end of the camshaft housing.
