First I will assume you are asking about the ignition switch specifically.To replace it is pretty easy.First disconnect the negative battery cable.2nd remove the steering column cover has approximately 4-5 screws on the bottom.Now once this is removed the ignition will be accessable and disconnect the plug going to the ignition and it should have one or two screws or bolts that hold it in place and even a plastic tie strap.Remove install new ignition plug the electrical plug in.Note I want to say there is a plug for the ignition if not the wiring may have wiring that is held on with screws on the part(cannot recall at this time).Regardless if you have to hook each wire to the new part do one at a time,and install on the new switch.Then put the igntion back in place,and column cover and install battery ground wire and done.Rough cost of new part is around 130.00 at most auto zones or advance auto parts etc.

With no key you will have to drill out the existing tumbler assembly from the switch in order to unscrew the ignition switch bezel.
