first; to access the dash mounted ignition switch you must remove the trim around the radio. also remove instrament panel(ip) trim(two screws at top and two at bottom) to remove ip trim the steering column must be removed.(3 hex head screws underneath steering column.) access ignition switch/tumbler and unplug two power plugs on back. then insert key and rotate to on/run position. tumbler should slide out. then remove park lock cable on rear bottom of ignition assembly. ignition transponder plug on top of tumbler can now be removed. re-install is the reverse procedure. then you must perorm a RELEARN procedure. First make sure you have a fully charged battery. then insert key and turn to the start/run , car will start then stall. LEAVE KEY IN RUN POSITION. observe security light(should be on or blinking) wait for light to turn off. should take up to 10 full minutes. turn key to off position. car should start on next start attempt.
