ignition on - engine off - floor the gas pedal 3 times. That's it!
To reset the oil light, put the key in the ignition and turn to accessory setting (but do not start the car) Push the English/Metric button twice and then push and hold the "…Gauges" button. The "Change Oil" light will flash for about 15-20 seconds and then go out. Release the button and turn key off. When you turn the key back on, the light should be out. If it is not, repeat the above steps.

The change oil light comes on and frequently on my 2001 Venture. The "OIL Change doc" at our local garage says it is a problem with the oil screen. It gets gunked up and… needs to be cleaned or replaced to stop this message. It could also cause overheating in the van if left unattended. Good luck! With the ignition key in RUN but the engine off, repeatedly push the trip/reset button until OIL is displayed on the Driver Information Center. 2. When OIL is displayed, push and hold the trip/reset button for five seconds. The number will disappear and be replaced by 100 (indicating 100% oil life remaining). 3. Turn the key to OFF. If the change engine oil message comes back on, the engine oil life monitor has not reset. Repeat the procedure.

After an oil change, or when "CHANGE OIL" appears on the Trip Monitor, with the ignition on and engine off, press the "ENG MET" button (located on trip monitor) once. Press th…e "ENG MET" button again within 5 seconds. Within 5 seconds, press and hold the "RANGE" or "GAUGES" button (1990-1994). The light will flash. When it stops flashing and goes out, the system is reset.

It is a manual reset. Follow these instructions: 1) Turn the ignition to ON/RUN, with the engine off. 2) Press the information and reset buttons on the Driver Information Center (DIC) at the same time to enter the personalization menu. 3) Press the information button to scroll through the available personalization menu modes until the DIC display shows OIL-LIFE RESET. 4) Press and hold the reset button until the DIC display shows ACKNOWLEDGED. This will tell you the system has been reset. 5) Turn the key to LOCK/OFF.
