I wore colored contacts on top of my regular contacts for 4 days. So yes, you can. It might seem weird and uncomfortable at first but you get used to it. Although your eyes will get dry, teary and sting if you wear them on top of each other for more than 3-4 hrs. Try using eye drops if your eyes start to feel dry. Just remember to take both of them out once your done using them for the day and you'll be fine.

It may be that the SIM contacts (or phone contacts) are dirty. Wipe the SIM card's gold contact area GENTLY with a SOFT, dry cloth. Do the same with the phone's contact pins, using a DRY cotton bud.
