Telling someone that you are sorry should be an easy thing to do but many people are not so good at it. Just go to that person and say, "look, I'm sorry about....." whatever it is. If you are uncomfortable doing that, a letter or short note works well too in breaking the ice. If that person is unaccepting of the apology, which is sometimes the case, at least you know that you tried and you did the right thing by apologizing.

Also try to avoid saying Im sorry, But..... and then trying to defend yourself as some people will start an argument from that point.

Besides making a sincere apology for your behavior (not based on Any other factors), take action to make amends and don't repeat that mistake. Since this question is located in the abusive section, I will add that if you did abuse her physically or mentally, your actions will need to include outside intervention and practice. You may need to accept that the breakup is permanent.

You could write a note, send an email or call him/her on the phone and just say you are sorry for hurting their feelings or whatever the problem was.

You basically flat out tell her. Tell her that you're sorry and you were wrong, and ask for forgiveness. Make sure to sound geniune and look her in the eye. Hope that helps:)

Depends on how mad he really is. Just try a serious apology and butter him up a little bit. Either that or just give him time to cool off, constant "nagging" won't work either.
