This is a very big decision that you are about to make. Make sure you feel that this is who you truly want to become. If you do feel that this is true about yourself, then you should start preparing yourself for the new you that you are about to become. This can be an incredibly exciting and emotionally challenging road to take.
Be gentle on yourself. You will encounter people who will strongly disapprove of your choice. You need to be prepared for your family possibly rejecting you. These things that I mention because you will be on emotional roller-coaster until your journey ends and you become the new you.
Talk to others who have undergone what you want to do. You will find lots of support and wisdom from other trans-gendered people who have gone what you will go through. They will be able to share their stories and you can learn from them.
Use Google to find out about trans-gender support groups that might be in your area. You can find support over the phone or using social media. Remember that you are not alone and never will be alone on your journey. If you believe in god, god loves you for who you are and never doubt that. I am not religious myself but if you are maybe this can give you some support and comfort.
