My work contract will expire on 31st March 2012. I would like to inquire about my employment status and whether I will be up for a contract renewal.
I hope you understand that I would need to know the company's decision prior the end of my contract date, whether my employment would be extended, so I will have enough time to look for others employment.

∙ 10y agoIf you want your contract to be extended then you can write a formal letter requesting it. Make sure you date it and have your and the recipients address on it to make it official. Start with Dear (name). I have enjoyed working on (whatever you have been doing) and would dearly love to extend my contract with you. Please let me know if it is at all possible. Yours Sincerely (your name). Lay it out in a standard letter format.
