This really works with NO SPECIAL TOOL! A neighbor told me about this and it works. I did it twice this morning. Forget the special tool. Turn the crank so you can see where the "points" of the locking ring are. Turn the crank again so they are pointing down. Take an old terry cloth towel and slip the hemmed or finished edge between the crank handle and the door and slide it back and forth with an upward pressure. The towel will catch on the points of the locking ring and pop it right off.
The interchangeable part for a 1994 Mustang window crank handle would be a 1991 to 1993 Mustang window crank handle. This part can also be found at some salvage yards for automobile parts.
The window crank slips because the regulator gear has most likely stripped. You will need to remove the outer door panel to verify for sure but unless the crank is broken (It would fall off if it was) the regulator is stripped
Stop in at your local auto parts store, they sell the tool. U need it to do this.
Rotate? As in rotate the crank manually? Remove the Passenger side splash panel and turn it with an 18mm socket.
It is in the gas tank. The tank must be removed. A very difficult job.
IF IT IS A 4 CYL YOU PROBABLY HAVE A BAD CRANK SENSOR OR IGNITION MODULE.
I had this problem once with a 95 cavalier, it was the crank censor. But it could be the ingition module also. Its a game of trial and error.
You don't. A 1991 Cavalier did not come with airbags.
The map sensor on a 1991 cavalier is on the passenger side firewall towards the top.
1991 probably doesn't have a crank sensor, it probably has a reference in the distributor.
crank senser....
3.1L dont have a crank sensor
