There are so many variables in this question that it is difficult to answer. For example, someone living in a hot climate (like Florida or California) might find that their milk expires before the use by date as the process of opening and closing the refrigerator door lets in hot bursts of air. These frequent bursts of warm air contribute to a faster rate of product deterioration as food should be kept below 2 degrees celsius (36F) to stay fresh longer.
Another variable is transportation. If milk does not last beyond the sell by date, it was probably subjected to changes in temperature before it was sold.
The very best gauge of telling whether your milk is still okay to drink, is by smelling it. Good milk should barely smell, and if it does smell it should smell sweet. Usually, the stronger the smell the older the milk is. As soon as it starts to get chunky, it is old and should be discarded.
after the sell buy date, raw milk will slowly turn 'sour' the speed of fermentation will depend on the temperature. The higher the temperature, the quicker the fermentation. The lactose inside the milk turns into lactic acid and milk becomes unpleasant. Pasturisation will increase shelf life but will eventually spoil, there will be a unpleasant odour and the milk, if drunk nay cause food poisoning. UHT milk may be stored unrefridgerated for many months until opened and will slowly deteriorate. Stirilized, which is heat treated will last longer, but loses nutrients and will taste differently. Powdered milk will last longer still, provided the water content is kept to a minimum, less that 5%
If the milk has a low bacterial load, has been handled properly and stored at temperatures below 40°F, you should expect the milk to be usable for another 5-7 days after the sell-by date.
Some dairies take the expired or soon-to-be expired milk back, separate it from the packaging and sell it to pig farmers. Others just pour it down the drain.
Milk after its expiry date should be fine to drink, unless it smells foul or tastes sour or bitter.
Usually 2-5 days. Never more than a week.
10 days
2 days
3 days
the same as regular milk. i go by the date on the carton which is the safest.
Until the expiration date.
Chocolate milk is a great alternative to plain milk, because many kids actually despise plain milk, like myself. In this way, chocolate milk is a great way to get kids the calcium they need. Chocolate milk does have about twice the amount of sugar than plain milk, and it may have more fat, but there is a such thing as fat free chocolate milk. :)
Is it safe to eat coconut cream after expiration date
No, there is not any clear chance of fever with chocolate and milk...infact chocolate milkshake is good for health
Because the chocolate goes soggy with the milk which tastes really yummy.
No
Yes it can.It has milk in it
Just the cheap version. Good chocolate milk is made with good chocolate, vanilla, and milk. Any good search engine will provide you with a good recipe. If in a pinch, the instant, a good brand, is preferred over heated chocolate milk.
chocolate and milk are in chocolate milk
Dark chocolate, but not milk chocolate, contains antioxidants which are good for you.
This is more not good for you, than good for you, this is because depending what milk your using 2 out of 3 milk types do have fat in them. Also this added to chocolate makes this worse. But if you used red top milk then it wouldn't be as bad for you but this milk isn't going to work as it is too thin to make the chocolate milk.
