According to the Bible how long did it take for God to create man?

The Bible does not reveal all of the things that happened, therfore nobody can tell you how long, especially since you don't know when God decided to create Earth.

The Bible says God made heaven and earth in six days, and he rested on the 7th.

According to Baha'i scripture, religion and science must agree as both are from God. For this reason, the six Biblical (and Qur'anic) days are viewed as allegory for the scientific eons of earth's evolution. Had each age of development been written in a literal manner, the Book of Genesis alone would have required more pages than the Bible itself.

That it took a long time is most likely the nearest one will get to an answer. There will be many speculations as to the answer to your your question, each one will only be a guestimate. The Bible contains two separate and slightly conflicting accounts about the creation of man.

• The first account (Genesis 1:27) says that God made man, both male and female, on the sixth day as the last act of creation and then rested on the seventh.
• The second account says that God created Adam from the dust of the earth, before he created any other living thing (Genesis 2:7). Because Adam could not find a help meet among all the creatures of the earth, God took a rib from Adam and created a woman, Eve, as the last of creation (Genesis 2:20-22).
