The number of young produced per batch by fish varies enormously by species. Fish that provide more care or retain the eggs longer, such as mouth brooders and live bearers, produce very small numbers of young, 10 or 20 perhaps. Some sharks only produce one or two young at a time.
Other fish which, such as most broadcast spawners in the open ocean, can produce thousands upon thousands of eggs per breeding cycle.
Are you asking if your platy will give birth cause there are loads of fish already in your aquarium? or that your fish will give birth if she has a lot of unborn fish inside her?
The answer to both questions is YES, that is if she has been in contact with a male platy. Just be careful not to overstock your aquarium, as fish will constantly keep breeding no matter how many fish are already in the aquarium.
my platy as just given birth to 83 babies i could not believe it !!!!
Most fish lay hundreds of eggs at a time. However, egg laying sharks only lay one until next mating season, and sharks that give live birth often have a litter of 1 to 10 shark pups.
Some fish have only a few offspring, some lay tens of thousands of eggs each time.
10-100 fry (baby fish)
Depends on the size of the tank
Depends on what species of fish, but average 1,000 .
They can have 50 t0 1000. It really depends on how old the fish is, how big it is, and how well it was conditioned.
well as u could c, a clown fish have about a thousand babies each time
500,000 in a lifetime
500
900
A fish can have as much baby she wants until she dies. But it take 1 or 2 months for the fish to have babies again. Hope this helps:)
Many fish do. Some don't. Instinct, either way.
between 3-200
They have 3 times their age!!
Flying fish reproduce by eggs, and eventually, babies make babies and more babies to form a family. Most fish do, anyway
Fish don't even have babies. Fish lay eggs, so no.
