I think usually if the litter is 5, in a very urban area with plenty of food and territory, 3 might survive. It also depends if there is a runt.

Cats can birth 4 to 8 kittens, sometimes a dozen. Wild felines are no different from indoor cats. Big Cats, lions, cheetahs, etc., typically have one or 2 babies at one time.
