you can swim for as long as you like but it needs to be 30 minutes of your regular heart pace being raised. as long as you get this much a day you will be fit and healthy! ---- The recommended exercise duration to keep fit is a minimum of 30 minutes 3 times per week. It depends on how good a swimmer you are as to how far that is, though as you gett stronger and fitter the distances you swim in certain times should increase.
They should lift weight about three times a week. This depends on the age of the swimmer, though, as lifting weights for younger swimmers is strongly discouraged.
