, im 17 and i recently started working out, my older brother is helping me with my workouts, i suggest if u using dumbells then start at 10-15kg and once you can do 20-30 easy, increase the weight by 5kg and continue doing this for as long as u want. if you're using a bench bar then i suggest starting at 20-30kg and once you can do lift it 30 times easily, then increase the weight by 5-10kg and again, do this as long as you want. i started a month ago and now i can life 50kg on the bench bar 15 times before it starts to get hard. hope i helped
