Good places to look are under things like sheds, or really anywhere they could find shelter. Also, try asking the neighbors if you can check their yards. Once a cat living in our backyard had kittens, and we ended up finding them in the back of the shed in the neighbors yard.

∙ 13y agoIf you know your kitten, try calling it in each room of the house and try your best to find it. Your kitten will most likely be hiding in some place dark, warm, and out of the way. And try a toy that makes sound. It will either scare or coax your kitten to come out. Or try dangling tempting toys in front of where she might be hiding. Or just stay there with her. Get her used to her, or make a bunch of noise. She will either get brave enough to come out or come out out of curiosity. When she comes out, don't touch her. Just look at her and DON'T break eye contact. Make sure that she knows her name, so call to her in a soft voice. And no loud or sudden movements, you'll scare her.

∙ 11y agoCats are pretty good at finding their own hiding places; a common one is up inside the box springs of a bed. And cats are pretty contrary; if a cat senses that you know where she is hiding, she will find a new place to hide. It would be best, in this case, to leave the cat to her own hiding places, and if you know where they are, pretend you don't know.
