In most vehicles now the fuel pump is located in the gas tank. A lot of filters are located in the tank also depending on the vehicle. Some filters located on firewall, framerails, etc.. Locate the fuel line coming from the tank and follow it up to the engine. If it's not in the tank you will find it in the lines somewhere.

No! You either have to siphon it out or drop the tank. Use a non-metallic hand pump. You can also loosen the fuel line at the filter, and turn the key on and let the fuel pump pump it out. The fuel pump is in the fuel tank. While you're at it, change the filter. If you're having moisture or trash problems in the tank, your filter is no good. DO NOT pump the old gas through a new filter. Disconnect the filter on the tank side to do this.
