Regardless of which parent has which blood type, if one parent has type A and one type AB, the child could have either A, B, or AB. If one parent has type B and the other parent type AB, the child could have either A, B, or AB. If both parents have type AB, the child can again have A, B, or AB. And finally if one parent has O and the other parent has AB, the child could have either A or B. It doesn't matter whether the parents blood type is positive or negative for the above examples. no, one parent must be A and the other must be B. A & B are both dominant blood types, where O is recessive. Everyone has 2 blood type genes. For someone to be O the must be O & O. For someone to be AB, they needed to inherit the dominant A gene from one parent and the dominant B gene from the other. If someone is O they have neither, so they cannot pass A or B on to their child.
In normal cases, no. In order to be an O blood type, a person needs to have two O genes, one from each parent. An AB person has one A and one B, so under normal circumstances an AB person cannot have a type O child. However, there are a couple of very, very rare cases in which it can happen.
First case, the AB person has both the A and the B on the same chromosome, and nothing on the other side. This can happen, very rarely, when there is an error in replicating the genes. Sometimes genes cross over to the wrong chromosome. In that case, the patient would pass on either the A and B together as a set, making the baby an AB, or the gene without any ABO type. In that case, the baby would be a true type O, even though it only had one O gene from its mother.
The second case is more common, but not technically an O blood type. The baby could be a Bombay phenotype, which can look like a type O. The name Bombay comes from where it was originally discovered, in India. The baby would actually have the genes to be a type A or a type B, but would be unable to express them. What happens is that there is another protein on the surface of the red blood cells that the A and B need to attach to, called the H antigen. Nearly everybody has the H antigen, but some people lack the gene that makes it. People with the Bombay phenotype can donate red blood cells like they're a type O, but if they need a transfusion themselves the only blood they can handle is from other Bombays.

No. The child can has a 50% chance of having type A blood and a 50% chance of having type B blood.
There is no way to tell what type he was from only this information; he could quite literally have been any bloodtype at all.
Yes, absolutely. The only blood type her son could not be is O.
Yes it is with homework and stuff like that so kinda yea It is a mothers job to assist in every single aspect of a childs growth and ensure that every step is taken to ensure that the childs growth is healthy in all ways. It is a mothers job to help their child with understanding and respecting authority and the importance of it, to respect all forms of life, to be mentally healthy, physically healthy, intellectualism healthiness and it is also a responsibility to teach the value of truth and the responsibility that goes with it. It is a mothers job to help the child in ways that are best for them even if she thinks it is not best for her. I hope all mothers can practice this and fathers as well.
no that isnt possible as the blood group will have to be the one in the childs parents.the membrane of the cell containsrhs which tell the type of bloob group.these rhs are transferred from the parents to the progeni.therefore the child is the bearer of the blood group of one or the other parent.
