If the sun was created on the fourth day why do some think that the world was created in six of our days?

Those are two different subjects.

According to tradition, God created the sun on the fourth day of Creation. The light of the first three days did not come from the sun (Rashi commentary). It was a light that had no physical source; what people might today describe as a "white hole" (look it up).
