Could be low on PS fluid if it happens every time. If it happened once and now you have no PS, could be a belt off or ????? Need more info.

It could be bearing starting to seize on the alternator and reducing the belt speed to the power steering pump.
check your power steering fluid...may be low
Secure the power steering pump with the retaining bolts. Attach the power steering hose to the power steering pump. Put the belt on to the power steering pump. Fill the power steering system with fluid.
