Ohio can take time to get used to. If you are used to the rolling hills of The Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland, you'll find Northern Ohio much flatter. Southern Ohio is more like the Appalachian countryside. Most Ohio towns are small and old, with narrower streets and turn of the century (1880s-1900s) architecture. Once focused on coal and steel industries, Ohio has turned more to hospitality and technology. However, farming and agriculture remains an Ohio staple for occupation and production. If you enjoy lake influenced snow and bitter temps at times, stay north. If you prefer mountains and farming, stay south. Mid-northern and central areas have some of the best hospitals and medical school in the northeast USA.

Cleveland, if you think about is not a bad place to live at all. the economy is not good, but businesses like the medical mart and Cleveland clinic will attract a lot of new jobs to Cleveland. many say that the flats is not a good place, but it is improving, and how bad can it be? the lake is disgusting, i admit, but it is not unbearable.

the sports teams are terrible (excluding the cavs), so no there.

but it is a good city.
