East Coast Central
Otherwise known as Midwest.
Despite having a North Coast, on Lake Erie, practically the entire state, other than Cleveland and Toledo, are in the Ohio River watershed, which drains into the Mississippi, and then into the Gulf of Mexico.
Ohio is Supposedly in the Midwest. Though many of its residents believe that it is part of the Northeast because Ohio is in the Eastern time Zone.
Though this believe is partial to the East side of Ohio because the East side is much like Pennsylvania, while the West Side more resembles Midwest states.
Ohio is a state in the Midwest Region of the US, and one of the East North Central States (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin). Twelve states make up Midwest Region: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Ohio is considered geographically to be a Midwestern state, so that part is true; technically--meaning geographically--it is the Midwest. However...it's been my experience of traveling through Ohio that as one heads due east the energy starts to change and you get to a point in eastern Ohio--and the line is wavy and not clear-cut--where the Midwest stops BEING the Midwest. At least that has been my experience.
