I currently take 80mg straterra, 70mg vyvanse (a speed-derived drug like Adderall), and 10mg lexapro (an ssri like paxil, luvox, etc) and it is working great!
before I started vyvanse, I was taking straterra with lexapro and adderall: about 40 mg of adderall daily.
taking too much adderall caused me to be very anxious, self-conscious, and almost paranoid. when I reduced adderall to about 20 mg/day, as well as when I switched over to vyvanse, things smoothed out much better.
i should add that I was smoking a decent amount of medical marijuana at for most of this period too, which probably increased the paranoia....
I have since stopped the pot, and things are very smooth.
Just my personal experience, your results may vary, but whatever you do, be very cafeful with adderall!!! I had a mild psychotic episode where I thought everyone was out to get me, I couldn't leave home, and I am a "normal" person!

I am on 40mg of Srattera (once a day), 30mg of Adderall and 37.5mg of Paxil. I haven't noticed any unusual side effects, but that is just my own experience. Every individual is unique in their response to certain medications.

From what I understand, the effects of Prozac on liver metabolism can necessitate a dose reduction for the wellbutrin and Strattera, to avoid having too high of a plasma concentration at the same time. So typically that combo would require a high degree of oversight from your doc, and the strattera dose would be increased very slowly from its minimum.

∙ 15y agoYes, but you do not need as much Strattera because Prozac inhibits its metabolism therefore you maintain higher plasma levels of Strattera with less. It is safe to use both as directed by your doctor.

∙ 12y agoThis is not an uncommon combination prescribed to patients. If your doctor has prescribed both drugs, they may be taken together.
As with all prescription drugs, these should only be used (alone or in combination) as prescribed.

∙ 12y agoNot unless you are prescribed both medications by the same doctor and get them both at the same pharmacy. Adderall and Prozac have a drug-drug interaction so it should be up to you & your doctor to decide if the benefits of taking both outweigh the risks. I have been a pharmacy tech for 10 years and I wouldnt do it personally...

It's okay to be on Prozac as long as you need it, but it carries a raised risk of dependancy the longer you use it.

This question has two answers. Diet Coke has caffeine in it and caffeine works on the brain the same way Adderall works on the brain. Therefore, the initial effect of mixing the two may be to increase the effect of Adderall. However, caffeine is also a diuretic and diuretics have the effect of washing Adderall out of your system. Therefore, drinking any significant amount of diet coke will decrease, if not totally eliminate, the effect of Adderall.
Is it ok to mix Adderall with clarition?
Claritin is a non drowsy anti histamine. I have been taking it for my allergies, and have not noticed any interaction from it, nor have I found that it would reduce the effectiveness of your adderall from my own research on the web. If anything, it is better to get rid of the allergies because they are a distraction :)
