Yes its true American Express do business with a Billionaire Yemeni man Called Shaher Abdulhak who provide his bank The International Bank of Yemen with their credit card services.
This man played a key role in illicit weapons sales to the Iraqi Dictatorship, according to a CIA report "The Procurement of Conventional Military Goods in Breach of UN Sanctions".
The report states that "Yemen has assisted the Iraqi armed forces through a Yemeni businessman called Shaher Abid Al Haqq (Shaher Abdulhak, the spelling of the name varies.)."
Reference is given to a meeting held 19 February 2001, were the Yemeni side was ready to export military materials from Yemen and Ethiopia to Iraq. These parts were specifically drawn from the stocks of the Yemeni armed forces, air force, army aviation and included armor, trucks, and weapons.
Shaher Abdulhak is also known for being the father of Farouk Abdulhak who is the only suspect of the murder of a Norwegian student Martine Vik Magnussen in London March 2008.
Farouk Abdulhak fled the UK hours after Martines death,and is believed to be living in Yemen where it is strongly suspected that he is being sheltered by his wealthy father.
