Besides Turkey and Russia, the border nations of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia can also be considered to lie in both continents, or on either. Also included is the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, nominally part of Azerbaijan but closely tied to Armenia.

∙ 8y agoRussia is located in both Europe and Asia because it stretches across the entire Eurasian landmass. Turkey is considered part of both Europe and Asia because a small part of its territory (3%) is in the Balkans west of the Bosporus strait. The remainder of the country is in Asia, on the Anatolian Peninsula.
