Biomass
Using statistics from 2008, the types of renewable energy would be ordered as follows by electricity production: hydro - 248.1 billion kWh/y biomass - 66.24 billion kWh/y wind - 52.03 billion kWh/y geothermal - 14.86 billion kWh/y solar, tidal, and wave - 0.843 billion kWh/y Wind energy was increasing rapidly, but I doubt it would have surpassed hydro yet.
