Well I don't believe there are any animals that are only scavengers in PA but predators such as Coyotes, Black Bears and Cougars may scavenge and both the yellowjacket and the blow fly are scavengers as is the raccoon although it is better known in its urban role as trash can raiders.
They have wild, domesticated and zoo animals. There are thousands of farm animals. They have pets galore. They have migratory birds and caged birds. They have fish that know few boundaries. They also have fish in bowls and tanks. Insects thrive. Pennsylvania even has the Great Dane as the official state dog. Pennsylvania has all kinds of animals.
There are several kinds of wild animals in Pennsylvania. A few are the marsh rice rat, gray wolves, martens, wolverines, badgers, mountain lines, lynx, moose, and bison.
A herbivore is an animal that consumes plants and vegetation, with no meat in the diet. Herbivorous animals in PA include deer, cows and rabbits, among others.
Scavengers are animals that eat from the remains of dead animals.

If there were no scavengers then all the dead animals would rot .
