The Volvo 850 1997 fuel pump relay is under the fuse box compartment, you would need to take out the upper portion of it and then you would be able to easily find it undeath. elyunque000@Yahoo.com

How do you remove the healdight wipers from a 1997 Volvo 850R?

I shall assume that you are talking about the wiper arms them selves as opposed to the motor drive assembly. Its very straightforward, pull back the black plastic vover at the end of the wiper shaft and this will expose a 10mm nut. Undo this and the arm will just pull off. may need some freeing oil or persuasion. Hope this helps

What do the warning lights on 1997 Volvo 850R mean?

Here's the first thing I'd do. I'd read the owners manuel. If you are talking about the "service" light, the light comes on after the first 3000 miles, and then after you start the car (everytime) the light will stay on for 2 minutes, just as a reminder to go visit the local dealer, it doesn't mean that anything is wrong with the car, they just want you to go spend more money. If your talking about the other lights, I'd either check the owner's manuel, or go to a mechanic and have them diagnose it with their code reader thing... Good luck with your car, Cole

How much horsepower does a stock 1995 Volvo 850 have?

It depends on the engine variant. In 1995 Volvo offered a 2.0 20 value producing 143 BHP, a 2.5 10 valve producing 140 BHP (Yes, less than the 2.0 - 20V) a 2.5 20 valve at 170 BHP and the T-5 at 225 BHP. A special edition was brought to the UK called T-5R at 241 BHP and later the 850R was available producing 250 BHP in manual guise, and 240BHP with the automatic box. If you open the bonnet, there should be a sticker on the left side end of the engine's cylinder head starting B5 (for benzine, 5 cylinder). The next two numbers refer to the displacement, and the fourth number indicates the number of valves per cylinder. This will enable you to identify the exact specification of the engine. eg B5204F indicates a 5 cylinder 2.0 litre engine with four valves per cylinder i.e. a 2.0 litre 20 valve. All Diesel models had an Audi sourced five pot direct injection turbo unit rated at 140 BHP. Hope this helps.
