What for? You don't need to pry into someone else's private life for liking them or not. Net-friends are not the same as real life friends. In real life you want to know who they are so you can find out if you can (or like) to share moments with them; in virtual space you meet someone when you are already sharing a common interest, beyond that what else do you need to know?

If you just want to deepen the contact and see if there are more common interests, you can ask many things without ever asking for names, locations and personal information. The Net is a place where real life identity is not a must for sharing interests, don't try to see the Net as a look alike of real life, it is not.
