Should you continue to ask questions on WikiAnswers even if the answers you receive are not what you want to hear?

I'm a loyal WikiAnswerer, so I want to say "Yes!" Actually, though, that is totally up to the individual. If someone is looking for a pat on the back and someone to say, "Do whatever you want" or "That's okay, honey, you go ahead and do (something that might be harmful to you long into your future)" or if you're a 10, 12, 14-year-old who is looking for someone to you it's a wise choice for you to have sex or even have a baby at your young age, or a host of other things, then honestly, this site is not for you. You aren't looking for honest answers. You are trying to find people who will tell you what you want to hear. On the other hand, if you want mostly mature, honest advice from people who will tell it to you straight no matter if it's something you want to hear or not, then you definitely should keep asking your questions. Sometimes the best advice is what a person least wants to hear.

Why do people like WikiAnswers?
Some people do; because they like to answer [questions], edit [answers], give [trust points], and receive [contributions and comments on their message board].
Why doesn't anyone recommend me?
People receive recommendations when their answers to questions are seen by others as being of high quality or when their other actions on WikiAnswers are beneficial to the community and come to the notice of those inclined to recognize that. If you are new to WikiAnswers and have few answers or other activities on record, there is less opportunity to be noticed. That could change with time if you continue being active. On the other hand, if the quality of your participation is seen as poor, you will receive few if any recommendations even if you are very active for a long time.

WikiAnswers and Answers dot com never charge any money to ask questions or to receive answers. So you spent your money at some other website, but not here.

Why don't you answer questions right?
The answers on wikianswers are provided by an army of volunteer answerers which are overseen by an army of volunteer supervisors (moderators). Anyone who visits the site is able to ask or answer questions. Due to the volunteering nature of wikianswers, it is inevitable that some questions will receive inappropriate or incorrect answers. Wikianswers' supervisors do their best to catch these and fix them, but with nearly 8 million questions in the database, obviously some will sneak by. If there is some answer in particular which you feel has been inappropriately or incorrectly answered, feel free to fix it yourself... failing that feel free to contact one of wikianswers' friendly supervisors to give it a look see.

It's not the number of questions - it's the total number of contributions that counts. These can be questions asked, answers given or edits (either questions or answers). Using the talk pages, user pages, and discussion forums also count, as well as moving questions to their proper categories and managing the alternates for the questions. So when you reach 500 contributions, you will receive the bronze badge. Then when you reach 5000, you will get the silver badge. The next one is the gold badge at 25000, and there are several more.
