I have information based on studies within overweightness in the United States. Please note that obesity and overweightness are not the same thing, as obesity is extremely overweight. Some will argue that the number is much too high for the United States as it is thought to have dipped. The only numbers that have dipped are the obesity rates, the overweight rates continue to grow. It is predicted that the percentages will see a drop (though most likely very slightly) in the Western World (mostly the US, Canada, and Europe) but will rise sharply in the Eastern World (especially areas in Africa and Asia), as these are what the numbers are actually showing now.
