The Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is not found in any coast: it is found off the coast. Specifically, it is found off the eastern coast of Queensland, Australia. The Great Barrier Reef runs for about 2300 km, roughly parallel with the Queensland coast.
There are no continents immediately east of the Great Barrier Reef. The closest continent east of the reef is South America, and it is many thousands of kilometres away. The continent of Australia, however, lies directly west of the Great Barrier Reef.
