No. The United States has a very different constitutional structure. We have no monarchy. We do not form new governments each time the majority in the House changes. We hold elections at set intervals rather than when the Prime Minister finds it advantageous. We do not reserve one half of the legislature for the rich, titled, and propertied, as with the House of Lords. There are similarities but it would be erroneous to say one is a copy of the other.
