One might consider "Nature" as being bad... but it is all a double edged coin with both positives and negatives.
1 - Disease. Certainly colds, flu, etc, are inconvenient. Noting that cold and flu are viral, strep throat, is bacterial, yeast infections, Giardiasis (Giardia) is a protozoa, etc.
However, consider what bread would be like without yeast, for example.
As far as E-Coli, the news only discusses one type, O157:H7. There are other perfectly harmless types of E-Coli.
2 - Allergies, for example molds which can be unicellular or multicellular.
Although, yeasts and bacteria fight a mini-battle on your body, and keep each other in check.
3 - Spoiling of food.
Consider what the world would be like if nothing decomposed. Dead animal carcasses just sat there. Apple cores lasted forever. And, of course, this decomposition with bugs and bacteria converts the nutrients from one form to another and aids in the reuptake of the vitamins and minerals by plants, and continuing of the food chain.
